Shelburne RCMP investigating suspicious death
Shelburne RCMP responded to a 911 call at a residence in
East Green Harbour at 11:50 p.m.last night.
When police arrived, a 39-year-old male resident was found unconscious with an apparent gun shot wound. He was transported to the Roseway Hospital in Shelburne where he was pronounced dead on arrival .
A 39-year-old female who was present in the home was taken into custody. Both victim and suspect are known to each other. The woman is a person
of interest at the moment.
The South West Nova Major Crime unit are handling the investigation assisted by Shelburne and Barrington detachments along with the Yarmouth Forensic Identification Section.
A forensic autopsy will be performed on the victim in Halifax today.
