Winter Program

On Jan. 11, check out our brochure and the many “active” program, workshop and event opportunities taking place at the Hants County War Memorial Community Centre, the Windsor Exhibition Arena and at various locations throughout the Windsor community! Pick up your brochure at the Windsor Town office, the arena or the Community Centre. Programs begin Monday, Jan. 28. Registration begins Jan. 17 and will be ongoing at the Windsor Town office from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Snowshoes at Windsor Recreation Department

The Windsor Recreation Department has snowshoes available for the public to borrow. Sizes range from preschool to adult. Try something different this winter - "Family Snowshoeing". To book your shoes, call Jim at 798-1162.

Masters Swim Club

A swim group for ages 19-and-over focusing on fitness and open to swimmers of all abilities. Winter term begins Jan. 2 and ends March 7 ($70). Spring term is March 26 - June 13 ($90) at Kings-Edgehill School on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 6-7 a.m.

Family Literacy Program

The Hants Learning Network is offering a Storytelling and Books program to parents and children in specific schools and in the community in West Hants.

Adult Recreational Basketball

(45 years and older)

Are you interested in shooting some hoops, playing some pick-up basketball/games? A group of interested men are starting.

The program - Start date: Dec. 14/07, Avon View High School, Friday 8:30-10 p.m.

Scouting

The Third Falmouth Scout Troop meets on Monday nights at Falmouth Elementary School. If you are interested in Scouts call Art Melanson at 798-9485.

Venturers is a challenging outdoor program for youth 14-18 years and is associated with Scouts Canada. If interested call 798-3914.

“Super-Recreation” Volleyball

Try this out! High school or varsity experience-level adult co-ed volleyball at the Avon View High School, Mondays 8-10:00 p.m. Contact Lisa at 866-0671.

Shooting Stars Basketball Program

Shooting Stars Basketball Program is looking for coaches. If you are interested in working with children between the ages of six and 14 years coaching basketball, contact Tim Nickerson at 798-8719.

Monday Night Badminton

Walk Yourself Fit

Join the Recreation Department for this self-motivated walking program. Sign-up for one month or five months; it is up to you!

Family Bowling

The Windsor Bowling Centre hosts family bowling every Saturday at 2 p.m.

For every lane of six people, the cost is $20 (shoes and taxes included). For more information, call 798-2102.
