Are you missing a bicycle? The Windsor Rural Detachment is in possession of an unclaimed bicycle. It is an 18-speed Mountain Bike, blue frame with black forks. The make is "SPORTEK" and model is "Mud Dog".
If you think this may be your bike, please drop by the rural detachment on Morison Drive or call 798-2207.
This past week was a tragic one on our highways in the area. Two separate, unrelated crashes outside Hants County on Highway 101 in Kings County took the lives of two people and left three others in serious condition.
It’s a terrible incident any time of year, but is especially difficult to deal with so close to the holidays. Police are advising everyone to please slow down.
We have to drive for the road conditions, not the posted speed limit. When our roads are snow-covered or slippery, please stay off them unless it is absolutely necessary. People's lives depend on it.
If you have to be on the road during snow conditions take precautions like carrying a cell phone, candles, food and water, and blankets. Make sure your vehicle is properly equipped with four snow tires, winter wiper blades, lots of fuel and windshield fluid. And remember; take your time.
On behalf of S/Sgt. Grant and all the members at Windsor District RCMP, I wish you all a safe and enjoyable Christmas and New Year.
