Anniversary committee

The Village of New Minas celebrates 40 years of incorporation in 2008 and a committee has been established to plan a year full of celebrations. Members of the “Celebrating 40 Years Anniversary Committee” include village commissioner Dale Pineo (left), village clerk-treasurer Terry Silver, village commissioner and committee chair Maynard Stevens, service group representative Holly Thompson and recreation director Vince Forrestall. Missing from the photo is Greg Whynot of Boston Pizza, the committee’s business representative. Celebrations begin with an alcohol-free New Year’s Levee at the New Minas Civic Centre from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.
