I am sorry to hear about this terrible accident and the tragic loss of life that occurred. My sympathies go out to the families of those involved.
I was online the night that it happened when I bumped into a friend of mine who was present (RCMP). He was quite bothered by the whole thing, but sent me a link to the article.
I commend the media for reporting these stories and thank both the editor and photographer for providing images that tell the story without being overly graphic.
When faced with such tragedies we cannot close our eyes and be sad and deny that any good can come of this event. We should instead try (and I know it's hard) to celebrate the lives of those lost and take what lessons we can from the events that spawned our grief.

I hope the message from the media and the visuals reach at least one young adult ..likely male.As a past owner of a driving school and having trained hundreds of folks over 10 years it's important to remember attitude is all.
As Cpl Rich Walkinshaw has said, SEATBELTS and lack of SPEED saves lives; people must slow down, parents must instill proper attitudes and more education is needed. These difficult stories must stop being told especially those of innocent victims who are forever silenced by those only thinking of themselves and the need for speed.

Much sympathy for the families that are suffering this day because of the tragedy. Thank you for the terrible news as well as the good news. All are part of life. May we all be reminded to drive carefully. Grateful that we have a sensitive reporter in the area. Thank you again!!

I was just browsing through the paper. As the sister of someone who was killed 4 years ago this week in a car accident I feel so sad for these families who have lost their loved ones today. But I feel even worse that these pictures are posted online for anyone to see.

Thankfully the local paper did not publish pictures of my sisters accident. I feel it is no ones business but the families to see these things. That is something that should be kept private.

Shame on you for posting these. How would you feel?
