McGONIGLE, David Thomas – 24, passed away suddenly in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, November 10, 2007. He was born on February 21, 1983 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, a son to Helen (LeBlanc) and Larry Brannen, Chegoggin. David was raised in Yarmouth and Chegoggin, having graduated from Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School in 2003. He loved drawing, music and his family and friends, and he was a polite young man. He worked in the fast food industry and various restaurants in Edmonton. Besides his loving parents, David leaves behind his devoted sisters Vanessa and Mandy, both of Edmonton; step-brother, Matthew Brannen, Moods Mill Road; his maternal grandparents, Edith and Wilburn LeBlanc, Melbourne; aunts, Cathy LeBlanc (Morton Sears), Melbourne; Lucie LeBlanc (Glenn Fox), Hebron; uncles, Steve, Edmonton; Donald (Rebecca), Tom (Anne), Ted, David, all of Melbourne, Peter, Dartmouth; Eric (Donna), Pleasant Lake; step-aunt, Pat (Billy) Crouse, Beaver River; step-uncle, Bill (Donna) Brannen, Ontario. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends, some of whom called him “Dave Magoo” or “Roadtrip”. He was predeceased by his step-grandparents, Lloyd and Anna Brannen, Yarmouth. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 Friday, with prayers at 8 PM, both in H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where the funeral was held at 11 AM, Saturday, November 17, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiated. David was then laid to rest in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Forest Street, Yarmouth. Memorial donations to the Kids Help Phone would be greatly appreciated. Dorothy Aspinall - 92, Port Williams, passed away Friday November 9, 2007 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Canklow England, she was the daughter of the late Albert F. and Lucy (Cooke) Roberts. Mrs. Aspinall enjoyed playing bridge, was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and the daily criptaqoute. Dorothy was up to date on today’s politics and always knew the weather forecast. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by daughters; Denise Aspinall (Aran Silmeryn), Wolfville, Catherine (John) Roberts, Toronto Ont., Janet (Leonard Blood), Bonaire Georgia, sister, Thelma (Fred) Kassell, brother in law, Jack Partridge, both of England, grandchildren; Andrea, Liane, Michelle, and Patrick, great grandchildren, Ethan and Allie. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Harold, sister Kathleen. There will be no visitation for Mrs. Aspinall. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.C. Tonya Lee (nee Algee) Wiesner – 49, of Central Hampstead, Queens County, New Brunswick and formerly of Newtonville, Kings County, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital, New Brunswick, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Berwick, Kings County, she will always be the beloved daughter of Austin and Erma (McDow) Algee, Coldbrook, Kings County. Besides her parents, she is survived by her son, Charles Keddy (Rebecca), of Northern Quebec; life-partner, Larry Slipp and his children, Valerie, James and Laura; several special aunts, uncles and many true friends, many of whom traveled from far and near to visit during her illness. Tonya was predeceased by her brother, Austin Mark Algee; maternal grandparents, Lena and Arnold McDow; paternal grandmother, Nellie (Harold) Porter and paternal grandfather, Alden (Beatrice) Algee. Prior to moving to New Brunswick, she was employed as a Business Manager with the Annapolis Valley Work Activity Center. At the time of her illness she was self-employed as a Business Manager and together with her life partner was very involved with the promotion and marketing of organic farm products. Wherever Tonya resided she became active in community organizations, including Rotary and Lions Clubs, she sat on the Board of Directors for the Orchard View Nursing Home, was active in groups concerning women’s abuse issues and the education of the under-employed. She will be remembered for her welcoming, hospitable nature, her sense of humor, her love of cooking and crafts and being a faithful and true friend. A celebration of her life was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Ray A. Francis officiated. A private family interment service took place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Matthew James Zinck – 28, of Greenwood, NS passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 in Welton’s Corner, Kings Co. as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Middleton, he was the son of the late Ralph Zinck and the former Clara Webster. Matthew was very social and enjoyed helping people. He was considered a “Jack of all trades”. Matthew would do anything for anybody and enjoyed doing yard work for seniors. He took great pride in everything he did, but most of all he enjoyed helping others. He loved outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. Matthew loved all music and really enjoyed going to live concerts. He loved his friends as much as he loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Clara (Sam) Newcombe, Morden; brothers, Scott (Terry) Harrigan, Wilmot; Stanley (Tina) Zinck, Cottage Cove; David Zinck, Morden; step-brothers, Rodney Vidito, Bridgetown; Kyle Vidito, Hillsburn; Timothy Vidito, Auburn; half-sister, Darlene; half-brother, Jack; nieces, Allison, Katelyn; nephews, Andrew, Thomas, Alexander, Stephen, Colton; maternal grandparents, Wendell and Jean Webster, Herring Cove and several aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Zinck; step-father, Beverly Vidito and paternal grandparents, John and Edith Zinck. NICKERSON, Lynn Lorraine - 50, Lower East Pubnico, passed away November 10, 2007 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, following a courageous two year battle with cancer. Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of Loraine Morris and Florence Geneva (Adams) Thomas. Lynn was a treasured wife and loving mother and will be greatly missed by her husband , Todd and son, Adrian. Lynn was the founder of the Barrington Horse and Pony Club; founder and owner of Maritime Water Gardens and Grapevine Designs, Lower East Pubnico. She was a former member of the Rod and Gun Club and was an avid sportsperson, enjoying hunting, fishing and time spent at the family summer home on Quinan Lake. Lynn is survived by her husband Todd; son, Adrian; sister, Rochelle Thomas, Mahone Bay; brother, Bill Thomas (Gayle), Blockhouse; niece, Joni Lee Thomas (Jody) and grand niece, Georgia Lee, Blockhouse; nephew, Jarrod (Catheryn) Thomas, St. John's, Newfoundland. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Callie. A memorial service was held 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 13 at St. Jame's Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, Father Ian Wissler officiated. MUISE, Marie Emma – 84, Prince Street, Yarmouth, and formerly of Tusket, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2007, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born March 5, 1923 in Tusket, she was a daughter of the late Edward Raymond and Louise Anne (Doucette) LeBlanc. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed knitting, reading and playing cards. Surviving are her four children, Linda Deveau, Yarmouth; Paul (Germaine) Muise, Belleville; David (Diane) Muise, Hubbard’s Point; Stephen (Jerry) Muise, Yarmouth; 11 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; sisters, Cecilia Crosby, Tusket; Dora (Victor) McGuire, Yarmouth; a brother, Frederick (Barbara) LeBlanc, Yarmouth. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Franklyn W. Muise, as well as two sisters, Dora LeBlanc and Anne Doucette. Visitation took place from 7-9 Monday, 2-4, 7-9 Tuesday, with prayers at 8 PM Tuesday, both in H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth.
