There will be a baked beans sale at the East Pubnico fire hall on Nov. 13 from 4-6 p.m. Proceeds for Hip ‘n Fun and East Pubnico playground commitee.

A Chinese auction will be held to benefit the East Side Community Centre in Middle East Pubnico on Wednesday Nov. 14. Doors open at 6:30 and prize draws start at 7:30.
Bereavement sessions

St. Ambrose Cathedral is offering an eight-week bereavement session to help with the grieving process. After a lecture in a large group, there are small discussion groups. The sessions start Thursday, Nov. 15. For more information or to register call the parish office at 742-7151 by Nov. 13.

The Wedgeport and District Fire Department will hold a breakfast Sunday, Nov. 18, from 8:30-12:30. $5 per plate or $12 with children under 12.
Art gallery presentations

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Western Branch, Yarmouth, presents Merry & Durkee: acoustic sessions with tracks from their upcoming album at 1 p.m. in the community room, Sunday, Nov. 18. Also that day, a workshop on landscape collage will be given at the gallery from 2 to 4 p.m. Create landscape art using tissue paper collage techniques. Children of all ages welcome.
