“You have been ever so generous over the years with the giving of your talents to help out with so many organizations and individuals, whatever the cause may have been and it has been greatly appreciated.”
With these remarks, and a bouquet of flowers, Warden Louise Halliday relayed glowing thanks to Lynn Crowell from the Municipality of Barrington at the last council meeting.
Crowell was inducted in the provincial country music hall of fame on Sept. 15. Her promotional DVD will run next season at the Barrington Visitors Information Centre
She has performed in the area for the last 40 years and is the first Shelburne County resident to be inducted in the hall of fame.
She has four complete CDs along with several other smaller recorded projects to her credit and has played as a solo artist at events across the province. She will be the focus of a special concert at the Osprey on Nov. 17.
