There were 174 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Oct. 11 and Oct. 15.
October 11, a Gospel Woods Rd. resident reported three occasions when he and his neighbours had fall clean-up garbage tossed around ditches.
An irrigation system on a Medford farm was vandalized.
A Waterville resident reported fraud in an internet computer purchase.
A Jeep flipped in Hortonville at 7:47 p.m.
A driver in Coldbrook hit a hole in the road and skidded into the ditch.
Several items were stolen from an unlocked apartment on Prospect St. in Wolfville.
Early October 12, a check stopped 130 vehicles in Auburn. Five charges were laid, two vehicles towed and one disqualified driver located.
A window at Herbin’s Jewellry in Wolfville was broken overnight.
A North Alton caller reported two suspicious men in a vehicle stopped two teenaged girls walking on the road and then drove off.
During another check point, police located a loaded shotgun lying on the back seat of a car and charged the driver with unsafe storage.
There was a disturbance on University Ave. in Wolfville at 10:19 p.m. Beer bottles were thrown at Acadia University security staff.
October 13, a number of drunk males were partying on Hillside Ave. in Wolfville at 1:49 a.m.
There was loud music and marijuana smoking going on on Marie Cres. in North Kentville at 4:44 a.m.
Two horses were running loose on Central Ave. in Greenwood at 7:13 a.m.
Police observed a vehicle off the road in New Minas about 8 a.m. It subsequently stuck a telephone pole and two men fled. They were arrested, with assistance from the Kentville Police Service. The Honda Civic they crashed turned out to be stolen.
A two-wheeled cart was stolen from Ron Smith Dr. in Berwick.
A New Minas caller reported two men stealing metal at 10:30 a.m. on New Minas’ Warehouse Rd.
A three-vehicle pile-up occurred on Commercial St. in New Minas at 1 p.m.
A group of children was lighting fires behind a residence on Marie Cres. in North Kentville.
An elderly man fell asleep at the wheel of his car on Belcher St. in Port Williams and crashed about 4:30 p.m.
A checkpoint in the Auburn area stopped 25 vehicles during the evening. Police determined there were liquor offences among the drivers stopped. One driver tried to evade the checkpoint. He fled on foot and with the assistance of the police dog was located and arrested. The man was wanted on outstanding warrants. His vehicle was towed.
A house on Crescent Dr. in New Minas was paint balled at 8 p.m.
Police shut down a loud party on Earnscliffe Ave. in Wolfville at 8:26 p.m.
EHS called on police to assist when a crowd of bystanders prevented paramedics from reaching a 17-year-old girl who was drunk and had struck her head. She was treated and then taken to her university residence and left with a sober friend.
A large, loud party involving several apartments on Linden Ave. was reported at 10:06 p.m. and, later, another call came in.
Early October 14, a fire was lit on Sturk Rd. in Aylesford.
A loud party was reported on Westwood Ave. Later, a 911 caller reported a drunk 18-year-old girl and EHS was on call.
Two drunks fighting near Dooley’s in Greenwood ended with one man’s head being split open at 12:47 a.m.
Two inebriated people were arrested after a fight was reported at West Side Charlie’s in New Minas. The man was charged with being drunk in a public place and the woman with obstructing police.
A checkpoint in Coldbrook resulted in an impaired driver being arrested at 5:15 a.m.
A man was arrested for obstruction of justice on Jones Rd. in New Minas at 5:22 a.m.
A car windshield was smashed on Prospect St. in Wolfville.
A vehicle was on fire on Highway 101 near Wolfville at 1:37 p.m.
Four or five drunks were fighting on Main St. in Kingston at 10:40 p.m.
October 15, a break-in to a truck parked at the Big Stop in New Minas was reported. The lock had been cut and several packages taken.
There was one domestic call, one mental health incident and a single sudden death.
There were 10 false business alarms, six false residential alarms and 19 false 911 calls.
