There were 67 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Oct. 9 and 10.
Last Tuesday, a North Kentville residence was reported broken into. The caller found two dogs running loose and put them in his house and then tried to find the owner. In the meantime, a male broke into his house and took the dogs.
An assault was reported on the Cambridge Reserve at 9:01 a.m.
An MVA was reported on Middle Dyke Road in Sheffield Mills, but when the ambulance arrived the driver had fled.
Someone threw two rocks through the window of Consignor’s Place in New Minas sometime overnight.
A dozen gas tank covers were reported stolen from construction trucks in Woodville.
Money was stolen from a fruit stand in Canard. The person who stole the change returned the next day and attempted to steal more money. The incident was reported at 9:29 a.m.
In Auburn, a worker with a moving company slipped and fell while working. A doctor at the scene observed symptoms of a spinal injury and phoned 911.
A New Minas resident who was watching a vehicle for a friend noticed rock chips in the windshield that were not there the day before.
Security at the County Fair Mall in New Minas phoned police to request help in removing an intoxicated male at 4:10 p.m. The male had been brought to the mall by his mother. When police arrived he was not intoxicated, but did admit to having a beer in the mall.
Copper was stolen from a greenhouse in Centreville sometime in the last two weeks.
A license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at Canadian Tire in New Minas. The theft was reported at 6:37 p.m. Someone dented aluminum siding last week in Woodside.
An adult male was in custody after attempting to shoplift shoes and a DVD at Wal-Mart in New Minas.
At 7:29 p.m., a concerned resident reported three teens banging on the side of a house in Hants Border. The teens took off on foot.
An eight-year-old boy was assaulted by two male teens at Valley View Trailor Court in New Minas. The boy received minor scrapes and a sprained ankle. The complaint was received at 8:08 p.m.
A tire in the road surrounded by an unknown liquid was considered a traffic hazard in north Kentville at 8:12 p.m.
A motor vehicle accident involving two cars occurred in front of the Pontiac dealership in New Minas. A caller phoned at 11:07 and reported a half-dozen teens standing by the vehicles.
ATVs caused damage to an outdoor eating area at the Girl Guide camp at Lake Paul. The ATVs were doing burnouts on hardwood floors. In Weston, apples were thrown at a mailbox overnight, causing damage.
A student at Highbury School in New Minas was arrested after taking drugs to school.
A loose horse was reported at 2:47 at Cambridge Road. A woman complained that her landlord was harassing her by continuously driving by her house in Canning.
A Glenmont resident told her neighbours to stop driving an ATV through her field.
Someone phoned police to complain that their landlord was withholding mail in New Minas.
A noise complaint was received at 7:40 p.m. Loud banging sounds were being made by neighbours in North Kentville.
A woman phoned to report a possible fraud after giving her credit cared number to an enterprise called Mexico Cheap Tickets. She later phoned the Better Business Bureau and cancelled her credit card.
Loud music being played upstairs at a residence in Coldbrook prompted a complaint to police at 11:39 p.m.
A vehicle that flipped several times on Prospect Road in Cambridge left occupants with minor injuries.
A customer who claimed to have done $7,000 worth of damage to his teeth after biting into a butter tart containing a hard object prompted a Wolfville business owner to phone police with a complaint of fraud.
A Wolfville woman phoned police to complain that every time she went for a walk she was threatened by a neighbour.
Two males threw pumpkins at someone’s front door on Highland Avenue in Wolfville and shouted obscenities. The men returned a short time later with three more pumpkins. There was no damage to the door, but things were pretty messy. The men returned a third time but by then a number of people had gathered in the parking lot.
There were nine domestic incidents, two false residential alarms, four false business alarms and one false 911 call.
