Between Sept. 24 and Sept. 30, 2007, Windsor District RCMP responded to 156 calls for service. Of these, there were 13 false alarms and six misdialed 911 calls.

Police responded to a total of 17 traffic-related complaints involving speeding to reckless driving. As well, there were three reports of impaired driving investigated and nine motor vehicle crashes reported.

There were 14 reports of theft, seven reports of damage to property and five reports of break and enter. Most of these incidents continue to be investigated.

Windsor District RCMP responded to two complaints of assault, four complaints of uttering threats, two complaints of disturbing the peace, and laid three charges under the Liquor Control Act.

Three individuals are facing charges as a result of the fire at the Windsor Curling Club and nearby buildings. The firefighters who fought this fire did an excellent job containing it and preventing the fire from spreading further. Our thanks go to them.

Windsor District RCMP also wishes the Windsor Curling Club all the best and hope a new facility will be possible. This was a great loss to our community.

Turning to the CrimeStoppers Report, Windsor District RCMP is seeking help from the public in solving the following crime. Sometime between Wed., Sept. 19 and Fri., Sept. 21, 2007 a 16-foot, 2005 Prince Craft boat and trailer were stolen at a location on Mines Road in Falmouth.

Anyone with information on this crime and who would like to remain anonymous can contact CrimeStoppers anytime at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Calls to CrimeStoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on the tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 to $2,000.
