Author to read

British Columbia novelist Anne DeGrace will read at the Wolfville Memorial Library Oct. 10, 7:30 p.m.

DeGrace, who has Valley roots, will read from her brand new book, Wind Tails. It is about one extraordinary and windy day in 1977 at a highway diner in a mountain pass, when the paths of an odd assortment of travellers cross. Their stories turn around points of departure involving strange twists and chance encounters.

DeGrace is a librarian and journalist living in Nelson, B.C. Her first novel, Treading Water, was inspired by the tiny community of Renate. DeGrace has also co-authored two books of photography on the Kootenay region, and her short stories have appeared in The New Quarterly and A Room of One's Own.
