Who let the dogs out? Police want to know

Annapolis RCMP were called to Kejimkujik National Park on September 16 at 3:26 p.m. after wardens complained that some visitors were allowing large dogs to chase the wildlife.
The RCMP officer on patrol was not able to intercept the campers, but did get a description of the plates on the out-of-province vehicle. The officer was also able to save a turtle from an unreported peril.
The police responded to 79 calls for assistance during the week of September 14 through September 21. Among them were six false alarms; six motor vehicle accidents, and five false 911s. There were no complaints of domestic violence this week.
Following are highlights of the calls:
-- September 14 at 10:42 a.m. A Granville Ferry caller reported a theft.
-- September 14 at 10:52 a.m. A Springfield caller reported that a break and enter into a residence was in progress. Four members responded, located the suspect and determined that the break and enter was unfounded.
-- September 14 at 12:25 p.m. Police received a complaint of property damage at the Bridgetown pool. Vehicles had damaged the lawn.
-- September 14 at 4:28 p.m. A witness reported seeing an intoxicated man remove someone else’s mail from a Clementsport mailbox and then depart on foot.
-- September 14 at 4:37 p.m. A Granville Ferry business reported property damage after someone damaged a door.
-- September 14 at 5:20 p.m. A caller reported that a break and enter had taken place at a Trout Lake cottage. Nothing was taken.
-- September 14 at 9:38 p.m. An offender monitoring service notified police that an offender in Bear River had broken the terms of house arrest.
-- September 15 at 2:41 a.m. A Bridgetown caller reported seeing several suspicious people around the Legion and neighbouring properties.
-- September 15 at 4:11 a.m. Police were called to South Williamston in response to a motor vehicle accident involving one vehicle and minor injuries.
-- September 15 at 1:39 p.m. A Middleton caller reported a theft. The caller complained that theft of plants was becoming an ongoing problem.
-- September 15 at 3:51 p.m. Police were called to Middleton in response to a single vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
-- September 15 at 5:21 p.m. A Clementsvale caller reported minor property damage after discovering a break and enter. One male was later arrested.
-- September 15 at 11:20 p.m. A Granville Centre caller reported seeing suspicious vehicles. The drivers were flicking headlights. Police attended and discovered some youth having a conversation.
-- September 16 at 2:14 a.m. Police were called to Carleton Corner to assist EHS with an intoxicated male with injuries. The man was taken to hospital for treatment, released into police custody and then released the following day.
-- September 16 at 9:10 a.m. Police were called to Brickton to investigate a possible break and enter after a door appeared to have been jimmied. No entry was gained.
-- September 16 at 3:34 p.m. Police received a report of a dangerous driver on the Highway 101 near Bridgetown. The caller reported that a car with two females was driving slow and then speeding up when other vehicles tried to pass.
-- September 16 at 3:47 p.m. Police received a report of dangerous driving in Spa Springs. A vehicle headed east was driving erratically alternately hitting both shoulders. The vehicle was intercepted by the Kingston detachment. The driver was not found intoxicated and told officers that he was looking for something under the seat.
-- September 16 at 7:18 p.m. A driver in Wilmot complained that three boys threw a rock and broke her rear window.
-- September 17 at 6:16 a.m. Police where called to Lequille after a large transport truck went off the road. The driver sustained minor injuries after he swerved to avoid three deer in the road.
-- September 17 at 7:14 a.m. A caller in the Lequille area reported seeing a suspicious orange truck stop in front of a residence. Police determined that the truck was driven by employees of the Department of Transportation.
-- September 17 at 9:21 a.m. A Torbrook resident reported discovering a theft of firewood.
-- September 17 at 11:37 a.m. A Clementsvale caller reported the theft of tools.
-- September 17 at 4:53 p.m. Police were called to Deep brook in response to a two vehicle accident.
-- September 17 at 8:32 p.m. Police were called to Brickton after a driver hit a calf.
-- September 17 at 8:51 p.m. A Carlton Corner caller reported a stolen licence plate.
-- September 18 at 1:45 a.m. A Middleton caller reported a complaint of receiving threats.
-- September 18 at 1:35 a.m. Police were called to a traffic collision in Wilmot. No injuries were reported.
-- September at 6:14 p.m. A Granville Center caller reported that a shed had been broken into and equipment was stolen.
-- September 18 at 8:11 p.m. A Bridgetown caller reported a possible break and enter into a business after discovering an open door.
-- September 19 at 00:53 a.m. A caller reported a dangerous driver along the Highway 101 near Clementsvale. The driver of a sedan is frequently seen at this time cruising at high speeds.
-- September 19 at 6:26 a.m. A Nictaux caller reported receiving an indecent phone call.
-- September 19 at 2:42 p.m. An Inglisville resident reported an ongoing problem of a dangerous driver. The driver of a pickup truck is frequently seen speeding.
-- September 19 at 3:23 p.m. Police were called to Middleton after receiving a complaint of a theft. The matter was resolved without police laying charges.
-- September 19 at 5 p.m. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident in Paradise after one driver backed into another vehicle.
-- September 20 at 00:42 a.m. A caller reported seeing a dangerous driver on the 101 Highway near Clementsvale. The driver of a sedan was speeding.
