Hockey registration
September 20 Hockey Registration for Middleton & District Minor Hockey begins. Registration times are Sept. 20, 6:30-8:30p.m.
Apple pie fundraiser
September 20 The Annapolis Royal School Band apple pie fundraiser is under way. Pies $7, Crisps $6, 9-inch fall mums $12. Contact a band member by September 20 to place your order or call 532-0444. Pick up day is Saturday, Sept. 29. Thank you for your support.
Trail Society Meeting
September 20 An Annapolis County Trails Society (ACTS) directors' meeting will be held September 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lawrencetown Municipal Building in Lawrencetown, Highway 1.
Turkey Supper
September 20 The Three Rivers Community Center in Torbrook Mines will be having a Turkey Supper on Thursday, Sept. 20. Price is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children under 12.
Church Family Night
September 21 Paradise Baptist Family Night: A little taste of … Italy! Join us from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for an evening of spaghetti, dessert, and board games (bring along your favourite game). Musical fundraiser

Legion Breakfast
September 22 Saturday morning breakfasts continue at the Annapolis Royal Legion, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (note time change). Come out for a great homemade breakfast and get yourself out of the kitchen this Saturday.
Harvest festival
September 22 Melvern Square & Area Community Centre will hold its’ annual Harvest Festival starting at 1 p.m. Events include: Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off (Prizes: Children Div. - $100 for heaviest / Adults Div. - $200 for heaviest); Tractor Skills Competition – cash prizes; Children’s Jack-O-Lantern Carving / Decorating Contest; raffles; draws. Tribute to Newfoundland
September 22 A Tribute to Newfoundland, fresh haddock dinner with live entertainment will be held September 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, 37 Gates Ave, Middleton. Advance tickets only $20 per person are available at Valley Drug Mart Middleton, or Call Sally at 825-3087 or Debbie at 584-7035.
Time, Talent, Treasures Auction
September 22 All are welcome to attend an auction sponsored by the Parish Council of St. Louis Catholic Church in Annapolis Royal. The auction will take place at the Annapolis Royal Fire Hall on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. Proceeds go towards church repairs. For information call Eileen (665-2440) or Kay (532-0746)
Song Service
September 23 A Song Service will be held at the Torbrook Baptist Church at 7:30 p.m. Guest singers are Graham Moorehead and the Dearmon Sister's. Refreshments will be served.
Musical evening
September 23 The Mount Hanley Baptist Church invites you to attend an evening of music starting at 7 p.m. Performing are Zillah Gaul, Ivy Cross, Vera Errington and Cliff Neily. Proceeds for window repairs of the Mount Hanley / Port George churches. There will be no morning service on this date.
Drug Abuse seminar
September 25 A drug use and abuse seminar will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at NSCC Lawrencetown Campus (COGS) entitled No Way...Not My Kid! The seminar is for parents, teachers, and caregivers and will discuss: what drugs look like; how easy they are to get; what effects they have; why our children are turning to drugs; how to deal with drug use in our children; and where to turn and much, much more. Historical society meeting
September 25 An Annapolis Valley Historical Society meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Macdonald Museum, Middleton. Guest speaker RCMP Officer Dave Cunningham. Public welcome. No charge.
Legion Bingo
September 26 Regular BINGOs for the fall and winter season are starting September 26 at the Annapolis Royal Legion Community Centre. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with play starting at 7 p.m. Cost is 10 per book (15 games). The canteen will be open. Merchandise prizes.
Mini-Karaoke
September 28 The first of three Mini-Karaoke Contests will be held at the Annapolis Royal Legion on September 28. Registration begins at 8 p.m. with the contest kicking off at 9 p.m. One winner on this night will be decided by audience vote (one vote per person), who will walk away with $100 cash. The other two Mini-Karaoke contests will be held in October and November. Watch for more details.
Ticket Auction

Washer Toss Tournament
September 29 The Three Rivers Community Center is hosting a Washer Toss Tournament on September 29 starting at 1:00 p.m. Entry fee is $10 per person. For more information or to register call Christine or Mike at 765-2723.
Organ recital
September 30 Debbie Rice will be heard in concert at Bridgetown Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. The concert, in honor of the memory of two of her organ teachers, Mary Montgomerie and Paul Murray, features Maureen MacLean and John Montgomerie as special guests. A free-will offering will be taken.
Roast Turkey Supper
September 30 A Roast Turkey Supper fundraiser will be held Sunday, Sept. 30 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Lions Hall, Nictaux. Wheelchair accessible. $8 adult; $5 children (under 12). Takeout available (pick-up only). Call 825-4374.
Hymn Sing
September 30 A Hymn Sing will be held at the Victoria Vale Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30. Special guest is Chuck Daniels. Refreshments to follow at Parker Hall across the street.
Gospel Concert
September 30 The Kingston United Baptist Church will be holding a Gospel Concert featuring Shepherd's Joy on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. A free-will ofering with lunch and fellowship timewill follow the concert. Everyone is welcome to attend!
Funds for Fuel
October 1 Funds for Fuel bridge party, Monday, Oct. 1 at 1:15 p.m. at Macdonald Museum, Middleton. Small admission, light lunch. Come out for an afternoon of fun and raise funds for the Museum.
Carousel
October 13 Soldiers Memorial Health Auxiliary has joined together with Greenwood, Nictaux, Kingston, and Lawrencetown hospital auxiliaries to host Carousel. Along with many booths, tickets are being sold on a one-night stay, round of golf for two, and $200 spending money at Fox Harb’r Resort to be drawn at the Carousel. Quality Auction
October 13 A Quality Auction is being held at the Annapolis Royal Legion Community Centre on Saturday, Oct. 13. This auction, with guest auctioneer Blaine Henshaw, will feature some very nice items… something you won’t want to miss.
