Spirit Day at Evangeline Middle School lots of fun for a great cause
It was an opportunity to raise funds for an excellent cause and have a lot of fun in the process. Spirit Day, a fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation, was held at Evangeline Middle School on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 12. Students, and at least one teacher, were duct taped to the wall and classes competed in a school bus pulling event. Dave Ford’s Grade 8 class completed the bus pull in the fastest time, 5.97 seconds. As announced by educational assistant Scott Turnbull, students and staff at the school were able to raise $1,140.58 for the cause.
