Flag of awareness
September is Arthritis Awareness Month and a flag was raised in recognition at Town Hall in Hantsport Aug. 29. West Hants MLA Chuck Porter, Windsor Deputy Mayor Andy Kirk, Hantsport Mayor Wayne Folker and West Hants Municipal Warden Richard Dauphinee joined Vesta Singleton of the West Hants branch of the Arthritis Society that afternoon. Students from Avon View High School held a one-day-only awareness/canvassing blitz in Hantsport the evening of Sept. 12.
