Dog day afternoon

Neither owners nor poochs minded the rain Friday, Aug. 31 since the point was to get wet anyway during the 'doggie pool party' at the Hants Aquatic Centre. About one dozen canines big and small turned out for the event, which was a big hit with owners and pets. Pool staff were briefed on dog swim safety prior to and they encouraged owners to keep their dogs on their leads. There was lots of sniffing and fair play; the pooches enjoyed the swim and were very well mannered. Here, Jordon Monroe takes Kindred for a dip Aug. 31.
