Praise the Lord and thanks for the grub!! Scotch Village hosts annual gospel jamboree

It was a toe-tapping, thigh-slapping good time at the annual Scotch Village Gospel Jamboree as the community descended upon the Newport Baptist Church for food aplenty, tractor rides and the best that gospel music has to offer.
The queue for great grub was a mile long as residents put out their plates for salads, steaks, burgers and corn on the cob. The bounce-tent was left almost in the dust as children opted for an old-fashioned wagon ride. Young and old alike spent the day rekindling their faith and honoring days of old.
