Skipping Day for Kids, Milton

Hop, skip and jump all afternoon! Learn fun new games and songs on Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall! This event is for ages 5 - 12 years. The cost is $5 per person and a snack is included. Please wear sneakers and shorts. Pre-register by Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Public Swims at Milton Centennial Pool & North Queens Aquatic Centre

Cool off on a hot summer day at the Milton Centennial Pool or the North Queens Aquatic Centre at a Public Swim Session! From Aug. 27 through to Aug. 29 the Milton Centennial Pool and the North Queens Aquatic Centre will be offering "All Free, All the Time" for their Public Swim from 1-4 p.m.

Ukulele For Beginners

Ukulele is for everyone who loves music, no musical experience required.

The ukulele is such a versatile instrument; it can be played and enjoyed by both beginner and virtuoso. This course teaches basic chord strumming techniques and basic music reading skills.

Have loads of fun while learning to play some of your favourite songs. Bring your own ukulele or purchase one from the instructor at wholesale prices.

Recreation complex meeting

The Region of Queens Municipality will be holding a Public Meeting with respect to Queens Place Multi-purpose Centre Sept. 11 in the Liverpool Regional High School Cafeteria.

A more detailed report will be given by dmA Planning and Management Services on the capital costs for the components presented at the June 21 public meeting. In addition, a business/operational plan will be presented along with recommendations on the governance and management of Queens Place. Meeting Canceled

Sept. 3 Queens Co. ATV Assn regular monthly meeting is CANCELED due to the holiday.

Bingo

Sept. 3 Giant Bingo Labor Day at Bridgewater Curling Club. Books 3/$5, specials $1/$2 each. Doors open 12 noon, bingo starts 2pm. This is a non-smoking event.
