RECREATION REPORT
Self Defense for Women, Milton
Would you know how to protect yourself if caught in a difficult situation? Learn how at our Women's Self Defense course taught by Neil Selig 6-8 p.m. Aug. 22-23 at the Milton Community Hall. This event is for ages 16 years and up. The cost is $15 for both evenings. Please pre-register by Aug. 16.
Skipping Day for Kids, Milton
Hop, skip and jump all afternoon! Learn fun new games and songs on Aug. 28 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall! This event is for ages 5-12 years. The cost is $5 per person and a snack is included. Please wear sneakers and shorts. Pre-register by Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Walk Your Way Through Summer
This season the Region of Queens Recreation Department is proud to offer a three-month walking program to promote healthy living and community involvement. We hope that our participants will reach an accumulative goal of 10,000 kilometres, walked from June 1 to Aug. 25. There will be monthly prize draws and a grand prize draw at the end of the program. There is no cost for registration. There will be a scheduled group walk every Thursday for those who wish to participate. Public Swims at Milton Centennial Pool
Cool off on a hot summer day at Milton Centennial Pool at a Public Swim Session! Public Swims are held Monday through Friday from 2:30-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per person and all are welcome! Please note that from Aug. 27 through to Aug. 29 the Milton Centennial Pool will be offering "All Free, All the Time" for their Public Swim from 1- 4 p.m.
