Yarmouth RCMP investigating break and enter, aggravated assault
The Yarmouth RCMP is investigating a break and enter and aggravated assault that police say occurred on Second Street in downtown Yarmouth in the early hours of Sunday, Aug. 12.
The RCMP says at 2:29 a.m. it responded to a 911 call that an apartment had been broken into and a male was attacked in his residence.
According to the RCMP, two male subjects entered the apartment and assaulted the victim with a club and then left.
Police say the 20-year-old male required medical attention and was transported to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. The victim had received numerous lacerations and a badly broken knee. He was transferred to the Kentville Regional Hospital.
