It’s a small but enthusiastic group, and they were all set for a voyage to learn about ‘God’s Wonderful, Beautiful World’ -- the theme of the program.
The Hope Centre Family Church, New Minas, held its Vacation Bible School Aug. 7 to 10. The participants – aged four to 11 years – were relatively small in number, but enthusiastic and energetic.
They got to take the imaginary voyage on a model sailing ship outfitted with bench seating and take in God’s world and learn of its creation.
Pastor Dorothy Huntley said “it’s our third year for Vacation Bible School.”
The participants also got to do crafts and other fun activities indoors and out. And there were healthy snacks.
During The Advertiser’s visit, Wednesday, the children thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
The church, which is of the Pentecostal mission, is located at the former Church of the Nazarene premises. The New Minas church is connected with the City Church in Halifax.
