Kids Triathlon

Aug. 19

From 9:30 a.m. until noon on Sunday Aug. 19 at

Ellenwood Provincial Park, children 14 years and under will compete in a swim/bike/run event. Length of the competition will be determined by age. Entry fee and advanced registration required. Art exhibit

An exhibit of watercolour paintings will be shown at th'YARC gallery, Parade Street, from Aug. 7 to 18. The paintings were done during a recent watercolour workshop led by instructor Nora Gross.

An evening of chamber music with Geoff Day, Lan Lam, Randy Hillier and Ifan Williams playing Prokofiev, Beethoven and Schumann will take place at the Yarmouth County Museum on Saturday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m. Freewill offering at the door. Proceeds to the Yarmouth Music Society.

Yard sale

A large yard sale will he held on the grounds of Saint Vincent de Paul Church, Salmon River on Saturday Aug. 11, from 9 :30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds go towards helping young people with their expenses for their pilgrimage to World Youth Day 2008, Sydney Australia.
