Ham & Salad Supper

Aug 7 at The Rossignol Cultural Centre in our extravagant and unique English Room. The cost is $10. The sittings are 4pm and 6pm Call 354-3067 to reserve your spot.
Blood Donor Clinic

Kids Fun Day

Aug. 9 at the Rossignol Cultural Centre, 1-4pm. Ages 7-12, register at the Cultural Centre or by phone 354-3067. Registration is $5, water games, team games, crafts, & snacks. Tonnes of fun.

Family Fun Day

Aug. 11 at Queens Daycare, from 10-12. Fun games and prizes. We will be having a BBQ, and yard sale. Come meet staff and have a tour of our centre. For more information call Amber at 354-5088.

Sat. Night Dance

Aug. 11 at RCL Branch 38, Liverpool. Music by Dale Verge & Doin’ Country. 9-1am. $5 p/p. Members & guests welcome.

NS Guides Assoc. Dance

Summer Extravaganza (Yard, Bake, Crafts Sale)

RECREATION REPORT

Red Cross Babysitting Course, Liverpool

The Recreation Department has received requests to hold another Red Cross Babysitting Course. If you are interested in taking the course please contact the Recreation Department at 354-5741. The proposed date for the course would be on August 21st.



Dude Day, Caledonia

Boys and Dirt and Recreation Staff equal one fun afternoon! So come on out for a finger wiggling good time Aug. 15 from 2-4 p.m. at the Caledonia Fire Hall! This event is for ages 5-11 years. The cost is $5 per person and a snack is included. Space is limited to 15 participants. Pre-register by Monday, August 13.

Fun Day on the Field, Liverpool

Bring your family and enjoy games, races, bouncy room and refreshments during the Fun Day on the Field Event 1-4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Privateer Park. All ages are welcome, free of charge.

Seniors Bowling, Liverpool

The pins will be ready, and the bowling balls will be waiting for you to roll a strike on 2-4 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Liverpool Bowling Centre. The cost is $5 for two strings. Please pre-register by Aug. 17.

Self Defense for Women, Milton

Would you know how to protect yourself if caught in a difficult situation? Learn how at our Women's Self Defense course taught by Neil Selig 6-8 p.m. Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 at the Milton Community Hall. This event is for ages 16 years and up. The cost is $15 for both evenings. Please pre-register by August 16.

Skipping Day for Kids, Milton

Hop, skip and jump all afternoon! Learn fun new games and songs on Aug. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Milton Community Hall! This event is for ages 5-12 years. The cost is $5 per person and a snack is included. Please wear sneakers and shorts. Pre-register by Wednesday, August 22.

Walk Your Way Through Summer

This season the Region of Queens Recreation Department is proud to offer a three-month walking program to promote healthy living and community involvement. We hope that our participants will reach an accumulative goal of 10,000 kilometres, walked from June 1 to August 25. There will be monthly prize draws and a grand prize draw at the end of the program. There is no cost for registration. There will be a scheduled group walk every Thursday for those who wish to participate. Please contact the Recreation Department to register at 902-354-5741, or email info@regionofqueens.com.

Public Swims at Milton Centennial Pool

Cool off on a hot summer day at the Milton Centennial Pool at a Public Swim Session! Public Swims are held Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The cost is $3 per person and all are welcome!
