George Hamilton IV, the Rainbow Ranch Boys and numerous other musicians are performing at the 17th Annual Hank Snow Tribute Aug. 16-19 at the South Shore Exhibition Grounds in Bridgewater.

Special guest George Hamilton IV is performing at the 17th Annual Hank Snow Tribute Aug. 16-19 at the South Shore Exhibition Grounds in Bridgewater.
Hank Snow’s remaining Rainbow Ranch Boys will also be returning from Nashville to perform throughout the weekend.

The Tribute starts Aug. 16 with performances by George Hamilton IV and other special guests.

Friday’s program kicks off with Open Mic performances from 1-4 p.m. followed by five straight hours of entertainment from an outstanding line-up of Maritime performers including: The Divorcees; J.D. Clarke; Nudie & The Turks; Steve Waylon & Rebel Ridge; Ryan Cook & Sunny Acres; Louisa Manuel; Bernie LeBlanc & Ray Legere; and Gordie Giles and others.

Saturday’s show begins with the popular Songwriters Circle hosted by Joyce Seamone with special guests J.D. Clarke, Ryan Cook, Jodi Faith, and Carol Penney.

Saturday’s main show will feature the annual Picking Contest and “Sounds Like Hank” contest in addition to great classic country music performances by Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame inductees: Chet Brown; Eric Bowers; and 2007 inductee Lynne Crowell; as well as regular favourites Johnny Gold; Rough Edges; Dale Verge; David Burbine; Melinda Naugler; Whitney River Boys; plus many more new and familiar acts.

On Sunday, George Hamilton IV hosts the morning Country Gospel show. This is followed by Classic Country music and a huge on-stage jam, made up of a large number of musicians who have performed throughout the weekend and are invited to participate by the host Rainbow Ranch Boys.

Camping and RV spots are available and walk-ins are welcome. The organizers recommend bringing a lawn chair to enjoy what will be continuous music on Thursday and Friday nights, all day Saturday, and Sunday until late afternoon.
