April Wine headlining Queens County SeaFest
The seventh annual Queens County SeaFest will welcome Canadian rock legends April Wine for its festival opening concert Aug. 24 at the Brooklyn Waterfront Park.
“We’re pleased to bring another high profile act to Queens County,” said Jean Robinson-Dexter, SeaFest Chair. “The last two years of concerts have been very successful and April Wine will bring a high energy show to the waterfront.”
Since its beginnings in Halifax over 30 years ago, April Wine has produced 15 studio albums, three live releases, numerous compilations, a boxed set and played thousands of concerts in Canada, the United States and throughout the world.
“We’re changing the format for the concert this year – there will be a small admission charge to watch the show in the Entertainment Tent and restricted to those 19 years. The sides of the Entertainment Tent will be up, so that families and anyone wishing to enjoy the show from the park and surrounding area can do so,” said Robinson-Dexter.
The show begins at 7 p.m. and people are asked to bring lawn chairs and leave all glass containers at home. Queens County SeaFest takes place August 24–26 at the Brooklyn Marina and Waterfront Park.
