John Gracie at Evergreen Saturday
Nova Scotia entertainer has voice, heart
Nova Scotia’s own John Gracie will be taking to the stage Saturday, Aug. 4 at Evergreen Theatre in East Margaretsville for an 8 p.m. concert.
Gracie performed as a teenager in local events and on local radio, taught himself to play the guitar and wrote continuously. In university, he performed and hosted intercollegiate folk festivals and was a favourite on the college circuit. After university, he started to perform professionally.
After he moved to Halifax he began touring the globe, performing on national television and recorded his first album. After much success, Gracie continues to grow musically.
This summer John has launched two new shows at summer festivals, Concert by the Sea and The Great Canadian Singalong. In his Evergreen appearance he will be doing selections from these shows and favourites from his catalogue of nine CDs. Later this summer, he will be releasing his 10th CD, Then Again- Recollections and will have a starring role in Stan Rogers A Matter of Heart, an Eastern Front Theatre Production running February 21 to March 9, 2008.
