Mud Creek street music

July 28 between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., Street Escape will be happening in downtown Wolfville.

The Alliance of Kings Artists/ Valley Arts, along with the town, invite both amateur and professional artists and children of all ages to create colourful chalk art on the street. Squares will be designated down the centre of Main Street between Elm Ave. and Pharmasave. Alternating older/ more experienced artists with children, square by square, down the centre of Main St., a streetscape will emerge.

Participants will be given chalk and a kneeling pad and assigned a square, where they will use the Main Street or Wolfville as their inspiration.

AKA representatives will also be on hand to profile AKA/ Valley Arts, provide membership information and raise awareness of the group’s new website, www.valleyarts.ca .

“This is the first year for this event, and the town is hoping it will be a great success,” says organizer Lynda MacDonald of Harvest Gallery.
