July 19 The Hillsburgh United Church is having a strawberry supper at the United Church in Bear River from 5-6 p.m. Enjoy ham, baked beans, potato salad and shortcake.

July 19 The Annapolis Royal Pharmasave will hold a blood glucose and blood pressure clinic July 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Legion karaoke
July 20 The summer-long Karaoke Contest continues at the Annapolis Royal Legion Friday nights, 9 p.m. with registration starting at 8 p.m. Two winners from this night’s competition will be chosen by audience vote and will join the other eight semi-finalists on July 27.
Children’s parade
July 21 The Heart of the Valley Days IODE Children’s Parade July 21 will take place at 10 a.m. Registration behind Macdonald Museum at 9:30 a.m. Lots of prizes and fun for everyone.
Hall fundraiser
July 21 Antique Appraisals conducted by Roger Crowther (Antique Road Show) from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lower Granville Hall, Port Royal. One item per person at a cost of $5. Canteen available. Proceeds for hall improvements.
Port Lorne supper
July 21 Come to supper at the Port Lorne Fire Hall from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Enjoy ham, baked beans and potato scallop with strawberry shortcake for dessert. Free will offering. Proceeds for the Port Lorne Ladies Auxiliary Dishwasher Fund.
Legion breakfast
July 21 Saturday Morning Breakfasts continue at the Annapolis Royal Legion, in the newly-renovated small dining room, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Steak and eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and much more.
Artifacts and Interiors
July 21 Watch artists as they paint and sketch at North Hills Museum (5056 Granville Rd, Granville Ferry) July 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., using this historic building as the inspiration for their craft. Invited artists for this year include Wayne Boucher, Geoff Butler, Tom Forrestall, and many more. Hosted by the Annapolis Heritage Society.

July 22 Hymn Sing at the Inglisville Church starting at 7 p.m. Music supplied by Vera Errington, Ivy Cross and Cliff.
Paws for Tea
July 22 Two of the Companion Animal Protection Society's foster homes will be open to the public on July 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. (Rain date July 29). Tea and cookies provided in the company of some of the dogs and cats in CAPS' care. Adoption/foster applications will be available as well as many fundraiser items. Volunteers will be on hand to answer all questions and help you choose that perfect pet. Dramatic reading
July 28 Hal Theriault will hold a Dramatic Reading of his new play The Bear River Story, Saturday, July 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oakdene Centre, Bear River. The play tells "the story of those who came, liked it and settled in, a trend which has continued for over 200 years." Full production will take place in August. July 26 The Annapolis Royal Pharmasave will hold a blood pressure and machine check clinic July 26 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Art show and sale
July 28 An Art Show and Sale will be held at the Tupperville Community Hall Saturday, July 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission free. Refreshments to be provided for $2 each by the Tupperville Women's Institute who are sponsoring this show which features original work by some 15 artists, photographers and crafts persons.
Chinese Auction
July 29 Chinese Auction at the Multi Addiction Center in North Kingston. Doors open at 11 a.m. with draw at 1 p.m. sharp. 50/50 and canteen available. Proceeds for the center.

Karaoke finals
August 3 Natal Day celebrations at the Annapolis Royal Legion Community Centre kick off with the Karaoke finals, beginning at 9 pm (registration is at 8). Come out and enjoy some top-notch singing and be a part of the excitement as the winner is announced.
Natal Day breakfast
August 4 The Annapolis Royal Legion’s Natal Day festivities continue with breakfast in the small dining room from 9 am to noon. Then beginning at noon the kids are invited to a puppet and magic show. Admission to the show is $2 and includes a free hot dog and pop.

Natal Day activities
August 5 Natal Day celebrations at the Annapolis Royal Legion Community Centre will be in full swing with a Full Breakfast (including pancakes) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A horseshoe tournament will begin at 10 a.m. (registration at 9:30), at a cost of $5 per person. A lunchtime barbecue will begin at 1 p.m., with Natal Day Bingo beginning at 2 p.m. (merchandise prizes). Finally, at 8 p.m. a Jam Session will finish off the day.
Big party
August 6 On Natal Day Monday the Annapolis Royal Legion Community Centre is the location for a huge Children’s Birthday Party from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while this will be the final day for the Legion 50/50 draw, which will be held in the late afternoon.
