DUCK RACE INFO

The VON tri-county duck race awareness day is set for July 14 at Killam’s wharf from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Find out all about the 2007 VON duck race and purchase ducks. There will be live music and a BBQ lunch. Donations accepted.

The annual Yarmouth County Museum & Archives garden sale is on July 14, 9 a.m. on the museum grounds. Flea market items, bake sale, antiques, plants and garden items, books, toys, a kids’ corner with fish pond, face painting, a clown with balloons and a BBQ

WASHER TOURNAMENT

BELL CONCERT

July 19

There will be a bell concert at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, William Street, Yarmouth, on Thursday, July 19, at 6:30 p.m. Lemonade, coffee and cookies will be served. Donations towards the restoration of the bells will be welcome. Secular and sacred music. Rain date will be the next evening at 6:30.

PIG ROAST

There will be a pig roast supper (with live music following) at the Kemptville fire hall, Saturday, July 21 from 4:30-6 p.m. Adults $9, children under 12, $3.50 Sponsored by the ladies auxiliary of the Kemptville volunteer fire department.

DAY CAMP

A free summer day camp for children 6 to 11 years of age sponsored by Juniper House started July 9. There will be seven one week camps held at Central School between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Arts and crafts, outdoor play, daily topics and related activities (e.g. self- esteem, angry feelings), lunch and snacks provided. Registration is required. The Heart and Stroke’s “Live and Learn” patient education series presented by South West Health’s stroke program, began May 9 (6-8 p.m.) and will run each Wednesday evening for six weeks.
