Red Cross Swimming Lessons

Registration for Milton Centennial Pool Session 3 and 4 will be taken on July 24 & 25. Registration for Sessions 3 and 4 at the North Queens Aquatic Centre will be taken on July 24 and 25 at the pool from 9 a.m. to Noon and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Walk Your Way Through Summer

This season the Region of Queens Recreation Department is proud to offer a three-month walking program to promote healthy living and community involvement. We hope that our participants will reach an accumulative goal of 10,000 km, walked from June 1 to August 25. There will be monthly prize draws and a grand prize draw at the end of the program. There is no cost for registration. There will be a scheduled group walk every Thursday for those who wish to participate. Please contact the Recreation Department to register at 354-5741, or email info@regionofqueens.com.

Race for the Rest of Us!

On Sunday, July 8 slip on your running shoes to take part in a 3.8 kilometre or one kilometre running race. You can dress up in your craziest outfit and if you can catch our pirate you'll also catch a prize! The first 50 people to pre-register with the Recreation Department at 354-5741 by Thursday, July 5 will receive a free T-shirt! The race is for ages 16 years and up. Cost to participate is $10 per person. On race day, registration will take place in Privateer Park in the Entertainment Tent at 9 a.m.

Family BBQ & Swim, Milton Centennial Pool

Join the Region of Queens Council at the Milton Centennial Pool July 9, from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. for a fun and wet day of games, swimming and food! Admission is free! Rain date is Thursday, July 12.

Red Cross Babysitting Course, Liverpool

July 10th, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Liverpool Lions Hall have a fantastic day learning the tips, techniques and skills to make you a terrific babysitter. This course is for ages 11 years and up. The cost is $35 per person and includes a snack, lunch, and manual. Please pre-register by Tuesday, July 3.

North Queens Family BBQ & Swim, North Queens Aquatic Centre

July 11th, pack up your family and have a fun day of swimming, activities, and food at the North Queens Aquatic Centre from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. with Region of Queens Council. Admission is free! Rain date TBA.

Diva Day, Liverpool

Calling all you little princesses! July 13, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., dress up in diva attire and enjoy activities meant just for you in the English Room at the Rossignol Cultural Centre! This event is for ages 5 - 8 years. Cost $8 per person and a snack is included. Space is limited to 15 participants; please pre-register by Monday, July 9.

Summerville Family Beach Party, Hunts Point

July 15th, from 1pm - 4pm, will be filled with sand sculptures, beach volleyball, and ice cream eating contests at Summerville Beach Provincial Park at the Annual Family Beach Party! Admission is free! Rain date is Sunday, July 22nd.

Messy Day, Greenfield

Get out those old clothes and join the Recreation staff on July 18, from 2 pm -4 pm, at the Greenfield Recreation Centre for a day of play in an ewie-gooey mess! This event is for ages 5 - 12 years. The cost is $3 per person and a snack is included. Please pre-register by Friday, July 13.

Messy Day, Liverpool

On July 19, from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m., pull out those old clothes boys and girls because today is the day the Recreation Staff wants to get you slipping and sliding and into an ewie-gooey mess at the Liverpool Guide Hut! This event is for ages 5 - 12 years. The cost is $3 per person and a snack is included. Please pre-register by Friday, July 13.

Dude Day, Port Medway

July 24, from 10 a.m-12 p.m. Warm up your fingers for a day filled with painting, playing and cardboard construction at the Port Medway Fire Hall! This event is for ages 5 - 11 years. The cost is $5 per person and a snack is included. Space is limited to 15 participants. Please pre-register by Friday, July 20.

Community Health Day, Liverpool

On July 28, from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m., there will be a showcase of snacks and activities to improve your health at the Milton Community Hall. All ages are welcome, free of charge. Wear your sneakers and prepare your taste buds!

Motocross Demonstration/BMX Showcase, Liverpool

On July 30, from 1 pm - 4 pm, get out your gear and suit up; it's BMX time! Enjoy a motocross demonstration behind the Gorham School, Payzant Street in Liverpool and participate in a BMX showcase. This event is for ages 11 years and up. The cost is $ per person and a snack is included. Please bring your own helmet and bicycle. Pre-register by Wednesday, July 25.

Tennis Camp, Greenfield

On July 26 and 27 at the Greenfield Multipurpose Court from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. or 2 p.m. – 3 p.m., each day staff from the Liverpool Tennis Club will be instructing participants on how to play the game of tennis. This program is for children aged 6 years plus and costs $10 per person. A minimum of four participants per session is required. Please pre-register by Monday, July 23 at the Recreation Department.
