Annapolis County Events space is provided for local non-profit organizations. Space is limited to about 25 words. There is no guarantee that notices will be printed. June Clinics

June 28 The following clinics are available at Pharmasave, Annapolis Royal: June 28 - Blood Glucose& Blood Pressure. All clinics are from 2-4 p.m.

Donation deadline

June 29 Deadline to make donations to the Annapolis Royal Legion’s Gigantic Yard Sale, to be held July 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donate what you no longer need to this worthy cause…all good used items, in working order and good shape (no clothing or bedding, please).

Canada Day Celebrations

June 30 Canada Day celebrations will be held Sat., June 30 at Melvern Square Community Hall. 11:15 a.m. parade registration at Melvern Square United Baptist Church. 11:30 a.m. parade, flag raising, cake cutting, hot dogs and pop. 12 noon soap slide. Everyone welcome.

Indoor Yard Sale

July 1 The Annapolis Royal Legion is planning a Giant Indoor Yard Sale for July 1st, 10 am to 4 pm and everyone is invited to donate what you no longer need to this worthy cause. Accepting all good used items, in working order and good shape (no clothing or bedding, please!) at the Annapolis Royal Community Centre until June 29th.

Parade

July 1 Anyone wishing to put in an entry for the Port Lorne July 1 parade may call Bard at 584-3802 or Glenda at 584-3226 (afternoons & evenings). Must know by June 20.

Cribbage Tournament

June 30 A cribbage tournament will be held June 30 at the Middleton Legion Branch 1. Registration is at noon with play beginning at 1 p.m. All entrance money is returned in prizes. Canteen available. Members and guests welcome. Must be 19. Non-smoking event. Call 825-4751 for information.

Giant yard sale

June 30 There will be a giant yard sale on Saturday, June 30, from 8 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Granville Beach United Baptist Church Parking Lot. Sponsored by the Lower Granville United Baptist Churches. Proceeds for parsonage roof repairs. Sale will move inside the church hall in the event of inclement weather.

Yard Sale

June 30 Yard sale at 312 Granville St., Bridgetown, June 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Proceeds for Hampton/Port Lorne churches.

Flea market

June 30 A Flea Market and Yard Sale will be held Saturday, June 30 at the Hillsburn 4-H Hall. Starting at 8 a.m. Hot dogs and pop will be for sale.

Horseshoe tournament

July 1 The second annual George Thibodeau Memorial Horseshoe Tournament at the Annapolis Royal Legion July 1. Registration at 9:30 a.m., play starts at 10 a.m. A barbecue will be held in conjunction with this tournament.

Summer services

July 1 Summer services for July and August for Bridgetown Baptist Church, Rev. George Neily Pastor and Youth Pastor Chris Keezer will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Everyone welcome.

Pig roast

July 1 Community Pig Roast to be held Sunday, July 1 at the Granville Ferry Community Hall. Two sittings: 5 and 7 p.m. Limited seating. Purchase tickets in advance. For tickets phone 532-0245. Adults $10, children $4.

Lobster dinner

July 1 A lobster dinner will be held at Holy Trinity Church Hall (across from Tim Hortons), Middleton, July 1 from 11:15 .m. to 1:30 p.m. (or as supplies last). Freshly cooked 1-1/4-pound lobster, potato salad, coleslaw, tomato, cucumber, dinner roll plus strawberry shortcake. Cost is $20. Reserve by calling 825-4758 -- or arrive early. Takeouts and deliveries within town. Sponsored by the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

Buffet breakfast

July 1 Port George Men's Club Buffet Breakfast July 1 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Recreation Centre. Menu: homemade baked beans, pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, bacon, sausage, muffins, fruit salad and beverage. Wheel chair accessible.

Basketball camp

July 3-6 A Kids in Motion Basic Skills Basketball Camp will be held at Annapolis West Education Centre July 3 to 6 for ages 7 to 16 years. The co-ed camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Cost is $70. Contact Maurice Parker at 532-0765.

Strawberry supper

July 7 A strawberry supper will be held at the Inglisville Community Hall July 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Includes casseroles, salads, baked beans etc. and strawberry shortcake. Adults $6; children under 12 get in for $3. Everyone welcome. Proceeds Inglisville Baptist Church.

Lions breakfast

July 7 Come enjoy breakfast at the Bridgetown Lions Hall July 7 on Church St., from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Free will offering.

Flea Market

July 7 Flea Market at the Middleton Train Station July 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Strawberry Supper

July 7 Enjoy a Strawberry Supper at the Tupperville Hall July 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Adults $9 and children under 12, $6. Tickets available on painting by Cluny Maher.

Supper

July 7 Enjoy Turkey-a-la-king, a garden salad and dessert for only $6. Supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Margaretsville Baptist Church Vestry. Proceeds for the church kitchen.

Art show and sale

July 28 An Art Show and Sale will be held at the Tupperville Community Hall Saturday, July 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission free. Refreshments to be provided for $2 each by the Tupperville Women's Institute who are sponsoring this show which features original work by some 15 artists, photographers and crafts persons.
