RCMP Adult Academy a huge success
This spring’s first RCMP Adult Academy in Liverpool for people 55 years of age and older was a huge success. RCMP Adult Academy a huge success
This past Spring a new free program called the RCMP Adult Academy was started by the Queens RCMP detachment for people 55 years of age and older.
This past Spring a new free program called the RCMP Adult Academy was started by the Queens RCMP detachment for people 55 years of age and older.This past Spring a new free program called the RCMP Adult Academy was started by the Queens RCMP detachment for people 55 years of age and older.The six-week program was held at the Liverpool Fire Hall 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each Monday. A different topic was covered each week, ranging from self defense moves for adults over 50 to numerous presentations and demonstrations.

They included a food safety inspector, EHS paramedics, Liverpool firefighters, and a Reynold’s Pharmasave representative. A RCMP dog was also featured.

RCMP Senior Safety Coordinator, Linda Wentzell said, “It has been such as huge success and so much fun that we are taking it to North Queens this Fall and also providing it again to South Queens residents this Fall with a whole new set of topics.”

The closing session was held on June 8.

Const. Grant Webber, Queens RCMP Community Policing Officer, Linda Wentzell, RCMP Senior Safety Coordinator, and Derinda Sparks, RCMP Community Assistance put on the program.
