Eddie was a most cherished husband of Lillian Ann (nee Wilkins) for 61 years. Together they have always enjoyed the simple things in life. Eddie and his true love, Lil spent joyful times boating on the Saint John River, singing, dancing, strolling, and skating before the war. They were married June 6, 1946 and the joy of their love has touched all who knew them. Eddie loved to share his gift of music, playing the piano, leading sing-alongs, harmonizing with his sweet tenor voice, and tapping happy rhythms on his spoons. He was a Lead singer in Men of Fundy for many years. Ed and Lil were high steppers in the Beaus and Belles, and served-up refreshments with a sing-song at their home many-a-night after the square dance. At Gladys Manning, Ed was well-loved for his gentle manner and renowned as the spoon player. Eddie, son of John Joseph Harley and Alice Harley (nee Keleher) was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, June 14, 1914.
