Adult Nordic Walking Program
May 22-June 26 Morning session from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., evening session 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Middleton Town Hall. †Fee: $15 (poles will be provided). To register or more information, phone 825-6611.
June Clinics
June 7-28 The following clinics are available at Pharmasave, Annapolis Royal: June 7 - Blood Glucose; June 14 – Cholesterol; June 21 – Blood Pressure; June 28 - Blood Glucose& Blood Pressure. All clinics are from 2-4 p.m.
Card Party
June 14 Enjoy time with friends & meet new ones while playing 45’s at the IOOF / Rebekah Lodge Hall, Main St., Lawrencetown. Starts at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $2 (lunch included).
Tribute show
June 15 The benefit show originally slated for Alden Eisner on June 15 at Brickton Community Hall will now be a tribute to the late Alden Eisner. Please come and help us celebrate his contribution to all. Time 7:30 p.m.
Karaoke
June 15 Karaoke at the Annapolis Royal Legion Community Centre. This event, beginning at 8 pm will be the kick-off for a summer-long karaoke contest (every Friday night starting June 22 and ending with the finals on August 4, Natal Day weekend). Prize of $1,000 cash and studio time and demo tape. On the menu for this night is homemade pizza, served from 6-8 p.m., only $2 per piece.
Legion breakfast
June 16 Saturday morning breakfasts continue at the Annapolis Royal Legion, in the newly-renovated small dining room, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Steak and eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and much more.
Spring Fling
June 16 The Annual Spring Fling at Clark Rutherford Memorial School will be held Saturday, June 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. rain or shine. Games to play, bouncer tents, barbecue, bake sale, plant sale, and auctions - something for everyone!
Show and Shine
June 16 The Annapolis Valley Cruisers Car Club will hold its eighth annual Dad's Day Show and Shine June 16 at the Zellers parking lot at Greenwood Mall. Show time is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
Legion pool
June 16 Free Pool at the Annapolis Royal Legion every Saturday evening, 6 p.m. to close. Everyone is invited to come out and have some fun.
Ticket Auction
June 16 Annual ticket auction at Middleton Legion June 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Draws start at 12 p.m. sharp. Proceeds for Middleton and District Day Care. Barbecued hot dogs and pop available.
Spring Fling
June 16 Annual Spring Fling June 16 at Clark Rutherford School from 11 am to 1 pm. Rain or shine. Games, bounce tents, BBQ, bake and plant sales, and auction.
Charity auction
June 16 The Knights of Columbus, Council 6297 Greenwood/Middleton will be holding their Annual Charity Auction on June 16 in Queen of Heaven Chapel Annex, Greenwood. Contact Kent Sill at 765-2734 for more information.
Ice cream parlour
June 17 The Ice Cream Parlour at the Margaretsville Community Hall will open June 17 from 2-4 p.m. (Open every Sunday until Fall.)
Bridge Party
June 18 Come out to play Bridge at the Margaretsville Community Hall June 18. Starts at 6:30 p.m. with dessert, play from 6:45 to 9:15 p.m. Fee charged. Call Betty if attending at 825-3290.
45s Evening
June 19 Come to the Margaretsville Community Hall June 19 for an evening of 45’s. Starts at 7 p.m. Admission charged. Light lunch served.
Lifeplex golf tournament
June 22 Lifeplex Wellness Centre will hold its first annual golf tournament, “Swing for Wellness,” Friday, June 22 at the Annapolis Royal Golf and Country Club. For information on registration call 638-3071. Three 'Hole in One' prizes (two automobiles and $10,000 in electronics/household furnishings).
Yard sale
June 23 The Inglewood Community Club will hold a Bake and Yard Sale June 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Inglewook Community Hall.
Lobster Dinner
June 23 Come to the Lower Granville Hall in Port Royal June 23 for lobster, salads, rolls, deviled eggs, beverage and dessert. Starts at 6:00 p.m., cost is $25. Limited seating, so please reserve ticket by June 16. Call 532-2267 or 532-5933.
Donation deadline
June 29 Deadline to make donations to the Annapolis Royal Legion’s Gigantic Yard Sale, to be held July 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donate what you no longer need to this worthy cause…all good used items, in working order and good shape (no clothing or bedding, please).
Canada Day Celebrations
June 30 Canada Day celebrations will be held Sat., June 30 at Melvern Square Community Hall. 11:15 a.m. parade registration at Melvern Square United Baptist Church. 11:30 a.m. parade, flag raising, cake cutting, hot dogs and pop. 12 noon soap slide. Everyone welcome.
Indoor Yard Sale
July 1 The Annapolis Royal Legion is planning a Giant Indoor Yard Sale for July 1st, 10 am to 4 pm and everyone is invited to donate what you no longer need to this worthy cause. Accepting all good used items, in working order and good shape (no clothing or bedding, please!) at the Annapolis Royal Community Centre until June 29th.
Parade
July 1 Anyone wishing to put in an entry for the Port Lorne July 1 parade may call Bard at 584-3802 or Glenda at 584-3226 (afternoons & evenings). Must know by June 20.
