Pat Nickerson returns as Deputy Warden
Pat Nickerson is the new Deputy Warden of the Municipality of Shelburne.
The retired teacher has a long association with municipal politics, as a former Shelburne town councillor and as the former warden of Shelburne Municipality.
Nickerson, of Beaverdam, replaces John Roscoe, who stepped down on Monday night due to increased work commitments.
In taking the new position, Nickerson noted that she and current warden Paulette Scott disagree on many issues, but that they had agreed to continue to treat each other with respect.
“I’m going to put all the energy I can into it,” she said. “We have some diffcult days ahead but I’m going to hang in and do my best.”
