They are heroes
Letter to the Yarmouth Vanguard
It takes someone special to do what our soldiers do. It takes courage and love to keep peace and to protect. To go to foreign countries and help people you do not even know. To do what our grandfathgerrs, grandmothers, great-grandfathers and great grandmothers did for us years ago.

They see the sunrise each morning as they prepare for a new day, a day full of uncertainties, danger and sometime sadness. They never know if you will see tomorrow’s sunrise, if today is their last. Yet they risk all so that others may have the fredom and peace that we have developed here in Canada.

The days may grow dark and hope may seem lost but take heart my friends. Do not be discouraged. Think of them as they shoulder their packs with pride. And always keep our anthem in your hearts. Stand tall. Stand strong. And sing our anthem, loud for all to hear. They are Canadian soldiers. They are brave souls. They are heroes. And they will always be in our hearts.
