DRY HYDRANT

One of a number of changes at the Villa will be the installation of a dry hydrant. This will be placed on the grounds near the edge of the lake. (For old timers it is where the boat house was located). Pumpers will connect hard suction hose to the hydrant and draft water through the pump and feed hose laid to the scene. This differs from town hydrants where they are opened and water will flow through suction hose, with pressure.
