South West Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Inna Shenderey who started working in the district earlier this month.

A public announcement will be made at a later date on when Dr. Shenderey is ready to take on new patients, as she is not accepting patients at this time.

Dr. Shenderey has several years of experience as a family physician in Israel. She received her medical degree from The Institute of Medicine, Chernovitsi, USSR in 1989. From 1989 to 1999, she was busy completing an internship from the Maternity Hospital Rovno, USSR, a rotating internship from Carmel Hospital, Haifa, Israel and a residency in Family Medicine from IMA Scientific Council Haifa, Israel.

This year Dr. Shenderey successfully completed the CAPP (Clinical Assessment for Practice Program). The CAPP is a program for international medical graduates, which is jointly offered by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and Dalhousie University.

Dr. Shenderey holds a defined licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia, and will be working under the mentorship of Dr. Winston Wertlen.

Dr. Inna Shenderey has lived in Yarmouth since 2007 with her husband Dr. Alex Shenderey, who is an anesthetist at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, and their two children.
