There were 87 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Jan. 5 and Jan. 8.

There was a break-in to a storage building in Aylesford reported last Monday. Two chainsaws, heaters and other equipment were stolen.

Three youth were throwing snowballs at a trailer on Old Dyke Rd. in New Minas at 4:40 p.m.

A 19-year-old male was caught shoplifting in the Bulk Barn in New Minas at 6 p.m.

Last Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. a Blue Heron Crt., Wolfville resident reported noise. A warning was issued.

Later that morning a Palmer Rd. resident of Harmony called police about repeated trespassing by ATVs and snowmobiles.

A Linden Ave. apartment dweller in Wolfville reported damage to his door during the holidays. On Wednesday police assisted at a house fire in Forest Hill.

Two thefts from vehicles were reported from Campbell Rd. in north Kentville.

A Port Williams garage business was broken into while the proprietor was on his lunch break. Fifty inspection stickers and some cash were stolen after a thief kicked a door panel in.

Someone reported a suspect car sale on the Internet. An iPod worth $340 was stolen out of a locker at West Kings High School. A suspect was identified on video.

Three males removed the locks on a display case at Wal-Mart in New Minas and walked out with three laptop computers.

An impaired driver in a truck was stopped on Bridge St. in Kingston. A Morristown resident complained to police about an incident of ID theft.

A New Minas liquor store employee who refused to serve an underage customer found damage to her vehicle parked outside.

A Prospect St., Wolfville resident reported someone threw an ice ball and broke a windowpane.

At 2:27 a.m. last Thursday someone observed a flashlight on the lot at a car dealership on Prospect Rd. in New Minas.

Several parents called looking for advice about their children last week. One has an 11-year-old shoplifter, another has a stepchild with a drinking problem and the third was trying to deal with a 10-year-old who doesn’t want to attend school.

There was one domestic incident and a sudden death. Two mental health calls came in, including one attempted suicide.

Collisions occurred in Avonport and Waterville. There were six false business alarms, five false residential alarms and six false 911 calls.
