Police investigate bus shelter vandalism

Four bus shelters in Greenwich and New Minas were vandalized last week.

The four cases of mischief were reported last Wednesday, said RCMP spokesperson Cst. Le Kakonyi, after plexiglass was broken and yoghurt smeared on the shelters.

The damage is expected to cost $1,500 to repair.

There were 102 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Nov. 17 and Nov. 20.

A house in Wallbrook was reported egged last Monday.

Someone vandalized a car parked at the arena in Canning during a hockey game.

A vehicle collided with a deer in Blue Mountain.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for making threats on campus at Acadia University about 2 p.m.

A suspicious young woman was going door to door in Aylesford asking to make telephone calls at 7:30 p.m.

A shed at the golf club in Kingston was broken into and equipment was stolen.

Last Tuesday two chain saws were stolen from an unlocked shed overnight on the West Black Rock Road near Waterville.

Three outbuildings near a seasonal property in Garland were broken into.

A man found a purse on Highland Avenue in Wolfville and turned it over to police with the ID and money intact.

A child walking along the road crying in Upper Dyke was reported at 3:15 p.m. and another adult reported two children, aged seven and eight, left unattended in a parked car in New Minas.

A woman reported a possible peeping Tom on Gaspereau Avenue in Wolfville staring in her window.

Mall security in New Minas reported the theft of a Blackberry.

Two vehicles collided at 6:36 a.m. last Wednesday in South Berwick.

A case of internet fraud was reported from Bishopville.

Three male youth took off from a group home near Grafton, but were later located.

A driver with bad brakes drove into the Bonnyman Pontiac dealership building in New Minas when he couldn’t stop. The incident took place about 4 p.m.
