RCMP responded to a total of 99 calls in the Annapolis County region during the week of October 27 to Nov 2. Among these were three false alarms, four false 911s, six motor vehicle accidents, and four domestic incidents.
In comparison to previous years, Halloween 2008 was relatively uneventful. In fact, the whole week appears to have been rather subdued, dominated largely by property complaints, mischief, and reports of possible deer jacking. With deer season underway, drivers would be advised to maintain vigilance to avoid collisions with deer.
(Note: Due to the sensitive nature of complaints involving sexual assault, domestic violence, children’s welfare, and mental health, not all calls are considered appropriate for publication.)
