The RCMP responded to 113 calls for assistance during the week of June 30 through July 7. Among these were seven false alarms, nine false 911s, one domestic matter, and five motor vehicle accidents.

Following are highlights of these calls: (Note: due to the sensitive nature of complaints involving sexual assault, domestic violence, children’s welfare and mental health, not all calls are considered appropriate for publication) --June 30 at 12:28 p.m. Police were called to Wilmot on a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that the charges are unfounded. --June 30 at 12:34 p.m. A male Shitsue dog was reported stolen from the Wilmot area. --June 30 at 2:32 p.m. A theft under $5,000 was reported in Wilmot after a water pump was stolen. --June 30 at 3:30 p.m. A Delaps Cove caller reported a complaint of criminal harassment. --June 30 at 8:48 p.m. A caller reported a loud party in Waldec. A patrol was made and discovered a group celebrating Canada Day early. --June 30 at 9:21 p.m. A caller reported that a male was rollerblading through Bridgetown, while hanging onto the bumper of a car. --June 30 at 11:49 p.m. A caller reported that stickers had been stolen from a car license plate in Nictaux. --July 1 at 1:15 a.m. A caller reported a complaint of mischief after flowers were pulled from a Bridgetown garden. --July 1 at 7:15 a.m. Police received a report that cattle were on the 101 Highway near exit 18 at Middleton. --July 1 at 8:56 a.m. Police were called to a motor vehicle accident in Lawrencetown after a vehicle struck a deer. --July 1 at 6 p.m. A break and enter was reported into a West Dalhousie residence. Electronic equipment and a lawn mower were stolen. --July 2 at 11:18 a.m. Police were called to a two-vehicle accident in Hampton. Minor injuries were reported. --July 2 at 12:36 p.m. A flower pot was reported stolen in Middleton. --July 2 at 2:40 p.m. A caller reported a complaint of mischief in Hampton after two boats were vandalized and items stolen. --July 2 at 2:44 p.m. A break and enter into a Wilmot residence was reported. No items were deemed taken. --July 2 at 3:28 p.m. Police were called to a collision at the intersection of Spa Springs Rd. and the Dodge Rd. No injuries were reported. --July 3 at 5:14 p.m. A caller reported receiving a counterfeit $5 from a Middleton business. --July 4 at 9 a.m. A caller reported a fraudulent cheque in Middleton. --July 4 at 9:28 a.m. A caller reported a break and enter into a Bridgetown school. The report was later deemed to be unfounded. --July 4 at 1:58 p.m. A caller reported a theft of oil from Cornwallis. --July 4 at 3:30 p.m. Three males were apprehended by police when they attempted to steal an old car for salvage metal. Two males aged 33 and 25, were released later that day, charges are pending. Nathan Lowe, 19, was held in custody until his court appearance on July 7. --July 4 at 3:41 p.m. Staff at a Wilmot business interrupted a likely break and enter. --July 5 at 1:11 a.m. Police were called to a traffic accident in South Farmington. One male was transported to the hospital after he was ejected from his vehicle. The truck jumped the guardrail and hit a tree. --July 5 at 9:23 p.m. Police were called to Meadowvale on a report of an assault. Five males and two females were fighting. --July 5 at 11:02 p.m. Police were called to an ATV accident on Highway 8 near Graywood. One ATV was on fire, a male and female and two children were taken to hospital. Investigation continues. --July 6 at 10:15 a.m. A caller reported mischief in Nictuax. Property was damaged by parties known to each other. --July 6 at 11:01 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious driver in Middleton.
