Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Yarmouth Town and County Sports Association will take place at the YMCA on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.

Breakfast

The Knights of Columbus will be holding a community breakfast at their hall, 10 Collins St., Sunday, Jan. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Donations accepted at the door.

Gospel concert

Jan. 20

There will be a gospel concert at the Port Maitland Bayview Baptist Church featuring the church’s worship team, Free to Fly, Sunday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. A free will offering will be received for the Pan de Vida Orphanage in Queretaro, Mexico.

Workshop

Jan. 21

Look Good Feel Better, free workshop dedicated to helping women look good and feel better during and after cancer care. Learn tips and techniques on how to camouflage the side effects of their treatments.

Monday, Jan. 21,at the Yarmouth hospital in the Pink room, first floor from 1-3 pm.

The Yarmouth Area Cancer Support Group will meet Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Sobey’s community room, Starrs Road. Speaker will be Doris Pinner. All those with cancer and their caregivers/loved ones are invited to attend. For more information contact Kent Blades at 742-3542.

The annual Yarmouth Interchurch Service, to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, will be held on Sunday Jan. 27, at 3 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Church on Brunswick Street. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Stephen Bourque and a reception will follow. The offering will be for the Yarmouth Fuel Fund.. Meeting

Dance lessons

Mondays

Dance lessons (for couples) easy-to-learn steps to foxtrot, jive and waltz - Drumlin Heights School in Argyle. Mondays 7:30 p.m. starting Jan. 14. Contact Argyle Rec Department for further info.

Support group

Tuesdays

The "Baby and Me" peer support group meets Tuesday mornings, 10 - 11:30, at Yarmouth Superstore’s community room. All infants with their parents and / or grandparents, as well as pregnant women, are welcome. Peer breastfeeding support is also available. Further info at 742-7141.

Card games

Thursdays

Bridge and other card games are held every Thursday afternoon at the South Ohio Community Centre from 1-4 p.m. Light refreshments served. Admission $2.

The Big Brothers/Big Sisters Win a Trip Lotto tickets are on sale at Pharmasave, the UPS store and Tusket Toyota; $20 a ticket, 12 chances to win a trip or $1000 in cash.
