The Wolfville Library C@P lab is now broadcasting 24/7, with announcements of current events, weather information, news, a wide variety of music and much more.
The Wolfville community radio project is located at the Wolfville Memorial Library C@P lab, where "community" is the operative word.
The new station is non-profit, volunteer-based and designed to serve, reflect and engage the Wolfville community.
Thanks to a partnership with Katimavik and its members, Bill Wehrems and Steve Humphrey, the C@P lab has been developing and providing content for the broadcasts.
In addition, the radio project has major contributions from C@P lab volunteers Edward Williams, Zack Morine, Irene Moore and Ayah Shakshuki. Nick Kasteljanov, manager of the site, founded the internet radio station.
The project is in need of more eager volunteers to get involved and share their talents. Organizations and community groups are invited to provide content for the radio station.
The aim of the station is to offer a selection of music that appeals to all demographics. An invitation has been extended to talented local musicians to give permission for the station to play their music free of royalties, so the community could share in some great listening.
This radio station has an ambition to grow from an internet radio station to an FM radio station.
