Salad tea and sale

There will be a salad tea and sale at Holy Trinity parish hall, 61 William St., on Thursday, Nov. 13, Doors open at 2 p.m., tea from 3-5. Adults $4, children under 10, $2. Christmas puddings will also be for sale.

Alström Syndrome International will be holding a silent auction on Friday, Nov. 14, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby of Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Christmas tea

The Ohio Christmas tea will be held at the South Ohio Community Centre on the Lake George Road on Nov. 15 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Adults $5; children under 12 $2. Bake sale, books, crafts, etc. Anyone wishing to donate or help can call Nancy Dubinskas at 902-749-1861.

Annual meeting

The annual meeting of the Yarmouth branch of the Canadian Bible Society will be held Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at the Austrian Inn in Dayton. The Firefighters Museum of Nova Scotia, 451 Main St., has an exhibit about the Corps of Canadian Firefighters who volunteered to aid Britain’s fire service during the Second World war. The exhibit runs until Dec. 19. Museum hours are Monday to Friday, 9-4 and Saturday 1-4.

The Baby and Me peer support group meets Tuesday mornings, 10 - 11:30, at Yarmouth Superstore’s community room. All infants with their parents and/or grandparents, as well as pregnant women, are welcome. Peer breastfeeding support is also available. Further info: 902-742-7141.
