Evangeline Artists’ Cooperative Ltd. formed
A dozen local area artists working in various visual art mediums recognized a need for promotion and a space for their artwork. As a result, the Evangeline Artists’ Cooperative Ltd. was formed this past summer. It is a non-profit artist society of more than 18 artists and growing.
The cooperative intends to serve a vital role in promoting local artists’ and their art as well as providing opportunities for non-members to have a place to work and attend workshops. The group also plans to involve youth and educators, as many youth could benefit from increased exposure to the visual arts. Watch for announcements about Evangeline Artists' Cooperative-sponsored workshops and art events over the course of the year.
