Chinese Auction

November 22 Chinese Auction at the Royal Canadian Legion on Marshall St., Middleton. Doors open at 2 p.m., draw starts at 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #1 in support of educational work.

Turkey Supper

Christmas Tea & Sale

November 22 Annual Christmas Tea and Sale at the Hillsburn 4-H Hall starting at 6 p.m. Admission $3, this includes a dessert and tea.

Karaoke Contest

November 23 The last Mini Karaoke Contest of the year at the Annapolis Royal Legion. Registration begins at 8 pm, contest at 9 p.m. One winner will walk away with $100, to be decided by audience vote. Winners from the previous two mini-Karaoke contests are not permitted to enter, but are welcomed to join in the open karaoke following the contest.

The Perfect Manhattan

November 23-25 The Perfect Manhattan -- a two-act comedy by Dianne Lococo, at King's Theatre, Annapolis Royal, on Nov. 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. Presented by the Annapolis District Drama Group. Directed by Madeleine Akin-Carhart, with a cast of 5 local players.

Murdered Alive

November 23-24 Bridgetown Players presents a production of ‘Murdered Alive,’ starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridgetown Regional High School. This is a fundraiser for BRHS AP Biology students who are traveling to Costa Rica.

Teen Game Night

Annual Craft Sale

November 23-24 21st Annual Christmas Craft Sale, on Friday, Nov. 23 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the Macdonald Museum in Middleton. Cost is $2 per person, children 12 and under free. Canteen, bake table and ample parking. Call 825-6116 for more details.

Breakfast

November 24 Saturday Morning Breakfasts continue at the Annapolis Royal Legion, in the newly-renovated small dining room, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Steak and eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and much more.

Benefit Evening

November 24 A musical Benefit will be held for Judy and Wayne Wade at the Clementsport Legion at 7 p.m. The proceeds will help Judy with costs associated with cancer treatments. Six bands will perform. Also a silent auction, bake sale, 50/50 and quilt raffle tickets and canteen available.

November 24 The supper originally scheduled for Brickton Community Hall on Nov 24 is cancelled. In its place there will be a benefit show for Jamie Batson in the evening starting at 7 p.m..

Cribbage Tournament

November 24 Cribbage tournament at the Middleton Legion Branch #1. Registration at 12 noon, play starts at 1 p.m. All entrance monies returned in prizes. Canteen available. Must be 19 years of age. Call 825-4751 for more information.

Organ Master Class

November 24 Craig Humber, Acadia University graduate, will conduct an organ master class with Elizabeth Fox, Maureen MacLean, Shawn Potter, and Debbie Rice at Manning Memorial Chapel, Wolfville, from 9 am to noon. Sponsored by Annapolis Valley Centre RCCO. Admission is $5.00 for the general public to audit.

Tea and Silent Auction

November 24 Come out to Yuletide Afternoon Tea and Silent Auction at the Margaretsville United Church Parlour from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission charged.

Old Fashioned Supper

November 24 Come to an Old Fashioned Saturday Night Supper at the Brickton Community Hall, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Enjoy homemade baked beans, wieners, potato scallop, brown bread and molasses, and apple gingerbread with real whipped cream. Free will donation at the door.

Breakfast with Santa

November 24 Breakfast With Santa and craft fair at Lawrencetown Consolidated School on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Pancake breakfast, local crafters, huge silent auction, Christmas hamper draw and Santa! Still room for more craft tables, please call Denise at 825-3591.

November 25 There will be a Country Music Benefit Show for Sheri Baker at the Inglisville Hall from 1-4 p.m. Several local musicians will perform. Free will offering, 50/50 draw, bake table and free tea & coffee.

Roast Beef Supper

Hour of Praise

November 25 There will be an hour of praise at the St. Alphonsus Church, Bridgetown at 7:30 p.m. Special music will be provided by Debbie Rice, Maureen MacLean, Barry Mooney and the Glory Bees. Everyone welcome.

Sounds of Christmas

November 25 The ”Sounds Of Christmas” will be held at the Margaretsville Baptist Church starting at 7 p.m. The evening includes a service of narrations, special music and Christmas carols.

Historical Society Meeting

BRES SAC meeting

November 30 A dessert buffet and theatre night will be held at St Luke's Church Annapolis Royal, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 and can be reserved by calling the parish office at 532-0913 any morning, Monday through Friday. This event is sponsored by the Projects Committee of the Anglican Parish of Annapolis.

December 1 Annapolis Valley Grandmothers & Others for Africa will be holding an indoor Book and Yard Sale on Saturday, Dec. 1 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in St. Mark’s Chapel Annex, Church Street, 14 Wing, Greenwood. New and used items including hard and soft cover books, plants, framed pictures and more. ‘Just Us’ fair trade coffee. Proceeds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers’ Campaign.
