From Belly Dancing to Nordic Walking, there are plenty of ways to be active in Bridgetown this winter. Instructor Angela Reynolds will be offering a Tribal-style Belly Dance for beginners’ class on Sunday afternoons, starting January 28. The class will take place at the Bridgetown Legion Hall, 20 Jeffrey Street, from 2:45 – 4 p.m. The cost for the nine-week program is $32 or participants can pay a $5 drop-in fee per class.

On Saturday, Feb.17, Ueli Albert will be offering a Nordic Walking workshop at the Bridgetown Legion Hall, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Nordic Walking uses specifically designed poles to engage the upper body during fitness walking. It was first developed as a summer training method for cross country skiers. The cost for the workshop is $5 (with poles supplied). Space is limited and pre-registration is required at Bridgetown Town Hall.

Bridgetowns 50+ Fitness, Total Fitness–Adults, and Adult Skating programs have all begun their winter sessions. For information on any of the above programs, please call Steve Raftery, Community Projects Coordinator, at 824-0387.
