Yarmouth girls win district soccer silver

The  Yarmouth Clippers U12 Tier 2 girls rep soccer team placed second in the South Shore District Soccer League playoffs for 2011.

The Clippers were silver medallists after falling 3-0 to Upper County in the championship game in New Germany.

The day before the title game, the Clippers had faced the same team, in Hebbville, defeating them 3-2 in a shootout. Yarmouth goals were scored by Laura Legere, Lindsey Minard and Sophie Atkinson. (Atkinson was the goalkeeper and scored the winning goal in the shootout.)
